Biography
David Scott Armstrong (b. 1969) is a Canadian visual artist and educator. He grew up in the suburban outskirts of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan later moving to Edmonton where he completed his BFA from the University of Alberta in 1995. He received his MFA from the University of Western Ontario in 2000.
His prints, drawings and bookworks have been exhibited nationally and internationally, in solo and group/juried exhibitions in Canada, the US, Estonia, Russia, Japan, and Brazil. His work can be found in the collections of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts; Edmonton Art Gallery; Gilkey Center for Graphic Arts, Portland Art Museum; Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists.
He is an Associate Professor at York University (Toronto, Ontario) teaching, since 2003, in the Department of Visual Art and Art History (Print Media).
